Our Spiritual Founder
Ben Franklin trained dozens of apprentices to start and run printing presses across the globe, making him America’s first successful entrepreneur. He believed in paying it forward. So do our mentors. And so do we.
BEN’s central office, podcast studio and Summer Barbecues are all located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, directly across the Manhattan skyline and just down the street from Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Bowl, Amazon and Vice Media. We are in a double wide modular trailer on a lot where the executive offices of one of the BEN founders—Norm Brodsky—used to sit until destroyed by a massive fire. Before the fire, thousands of entrepreneurs made the trek to Brooklyn to visit with Norm, author of the long-running “”Street Smarts”” column in Inc. Magazine and a multi-time Inc. 500 company founder.
Apply to be a BEN Scholar or to be a guest on our Business Brilliant Podcast. We love to hear great entrepreneur stories. Who knows, we might even be throwing one of our BEN barbecues where famous and up-and-coming entrepreneurs stop by for burgers and talk shop.
