meet the Ben Mentors
BEN’s Mentors know the value of “paying it forward.” After all, each of them credits their own success to the wisdom shared with them as they built their own successful businesses. Whether they started their businesses out of the back of a van (Bert Jacobs) or sold their first company before they were 30 (Tony Hsieh), they know that sharing what they’ve learned along the way is the right thing to do.
Tony sold LinkExchange, a company he co-founded, to Microsoft for $265 million in 1999 at the age of 24. He then joined Zappos as an advisor and investor, and eventually as CEO. Under his leadership, Zappos grew from almost no sales to over $2 billion annually and was regularly named on Fortune Magazine’s annual Best Companies to Work For list.

Jenn created the Zappos Culture Book, a symbol of how companies can use happiness as a business model to increase productivity and profitability. Today she’s the co-founder and CEO of Delivering Happiness, where she works with clients ranging from Audi to Lowe’s to Facebook. She led the launch and management of Tony Hsieh’s book, Delivering Happiness, which hit #1 on The New York Times best sellers’ list and was voted one of the best business books by The Wall Street Journal.
